This EGO-X exhaust system for the VW Golf 8 GTI, Clubsport and Edition 45 is hand-built using TIG welding and uses absorption-type silencers. The system is non-resonated and has no front or centre silencer, providing maximum sound when the valve is open.

Note: For the Clubsport and Edition 45, we recommend the 126 × 94 mm Carbon or stainless-steel exhaust tip version, as it fills the OEM bumper aperture perfectly and harmoniously. These tips are not suitable for the 245 PS GTI.

Road use: ECE approval applies only when the Bull-X Tronic control unit with ECE approval is selected; together with ECE Bull-X Tronic control and an EG-approved catalytic converter, the system is approved for public-road use without being entered in the vehicle documents. Other control-unit or catalytic-converter options are intended exclusively for track use.
In its approved configuration, the Bull-X Tronic control unit automatically closes the valve in all areas required by the ECE regulations. The valve remains closed between 20 and 80 km/h. In Comfort mode it remains closed, but opens while driving within the approved ECE range from 75% throttle opening. In Sport mode, the valve opens within the approved conditions. If the vehicle has drive-profile selection, it can be used to control the valve; vehicles without this function use the supplied button. The button’s LED indicates the valve status: light off means open and light on means closed.
Suitable for: VW Golf VIII (CD1).
