Pair of replacement piston actuators for the Nissan 350Z, with operation adjustable by changing the internal springs. They are suitable as replacements for a single or twin aftermarket APS turbo system using an actuator with a removable bracket, turnbuckle adjustment link and 1″-long straight rod.
The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring suitable for boost pressure at APS level or slightly above. An assembly with a stiffer spring is also available. The product is designed to increase the boost pressure of the turbocharger system. Compatibility with all variants cannot be guaranteed, nor can an increase in boost pressure beyond the level permitted by the engine management system when installed—whether factory-fitted or aftermarket.
Before installation, check that the engine management system, engine and associated systems can safely support the planned setup and the increased loads resulting from higher boost pressure.
The actuator’s standard internals are sealed with a diaphragm, while a piston-sealed version is also available. The piston-sealed internals offer comparable operation and less maintenance thanks to the durable design of the valve internals.

The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring marked in green. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, select the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 option.
All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.
The stated spring pressures according to the colour markings refer only to the mechanical aspect of operation and apply primarily to older turbocharged engines without electronic or solenoid control.
With modern engines featuring electronic or solenoid control, the target boost pressure does not necessarily match the mechanical spring specification. If you are unsure which spring is correct for your vehicle and planned tuning stage, consult a suitably qualified tuner.
For the T2 spring range, the designation is FMAS049.
