Forge Motorsport adjustable wastegate actuator for Dodge Neon SRT-4

The product is manufactured with a pre-set actuator spring suitable for factory boost pressure or slightly higher pressure. The actuator can also be assembled with a stiffer spring.

The actuator is designed to increase the boost pressure of the turbocharger system. Compatibility cannot be guaranteed for all applications, nor can an increase in boost pressure beyond the level permitted by the vehicle’s engine management system when fitted be guaranteed, regardless of whether the system is factory or aftermarket.

Forge Motorsport can supply an actuator that retains higher boost pressure than the factory unit, but before installation and adjustment, you must check whether the engine and the vehicle’s associated systems are suitable for the loads caused by higher boost pressure.

An actuator version with a stainless steel housing, external parts and mounting hardware is also available. This version is intended to provide greater corrosion resistance, including in demanding environments.

The factory version has a sealed diaphragm interior, while a piston-sealed interior is also available. The piston version provides performance equivalent to the diaphragm version and requires less maintenance due to the durable construction of the piston seal.

The kit includes:

The actuator is supplied as standard with a blue-marked spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, the piston version must be selected.

All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.

The stated spring pressure for each colour marking applies only to the mechanical part and is mainly relevant to older turbocharged engines where boost pressure is not controlled by the ECU or a solenoid valve.

On modern engines controlled by the ECU or a solenoid valve, the target boost pressure is not necessarily the same as the spring’s mechanical specification. If you are unsure about the correct spring choice for this model and the planned stage of modification, consult a qualified tuner.
