The Forge Motorsport actuator is designed as a replacement for the original part. The upgraded piston version is serviceable and the required mounting bracket is also included.
The actuator is supplied as standard with a pre-set spring suitable for factory boost pressure or slightly higher levels. It can be assembled with a stiffer spring on request.
Internal design
The standard choice for this actuator is an internally diaphragm-sealed design, while a piston-sealed version is also available. The piston version provides comparable performance to the diaphragm version and requires less maintenance due to the durability of its piston valve components.

The actuator is supplied as standard with a green-marked spring. The piston version must be selected for use with the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit.
All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.
The stated spring pressure for each colour marking applies only to the mechanical aspect and is primarily useful for older turbocharged engines where pressure is not controlled via the ECU or solenoid.
On modern engines with control via the ECU or solenoid, the target boost pressure does not need to match the stated mechanical spring specification. If you are unsure which spring is correct for your model and intended level of modification, consult a suitably qualified tuner.
