The Forge Motorsport atmospheric dump valve for the Ford Mustang from 2015 onwards with the 2.3 EcoBoost engine is designed as a replacement for the original electronic solenoid valve. The system connects fully to the ECU, so the control unit continues to detect the original valve, while its activation produces a distinctive boost pressure release sound when changing gear. The valve can be serviced and refurbished; when boost pressure is increased by adjusting the engine software, it can also be fitted with a stronger spring.
