We recommend servicing the valve every 3 years or 20,000 miles – whichever comes first.
This is a piston-type bypass valve that is a direct replacement for the original valve. Compared with the original diaphragm valves, it provides a longer service life and also allows different springs to be fitted when boost pressure is increased or the engine has been modified.
It is important that your vehicle has the same type of valve as shown in image 1. The valve shown in image 2 is not compatible with the Forge valve. We observed this change in vehicles manufactured after 2016, so check the shape of the original valve before purchasing.
To prevent the possibility of fault code P0101 being generated, the engine control module (ECM) must be reprogrammed with a setting optimised for venting to atmosphere.
The kit includes
- 1 × FMDVCS14A valve
- 1 × upgraded yellow spring
- 1 × Forge sticker
