Forge Motorsport blow-off valve for Mini Cooper S/JCW R55/R56/R57

We recommend servicing the valve every 3 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The blow-off valve is designed for Peugeot/BMW Mini 1.6 Turbo engines with the N14 engine, as found in the Peugeot 207/307/308 GT Turbo and Mini Cooper S Turbo models.

The valve is recommended for vehicles with increased boost pressure resulting from ECU software upgrades, as well as standard vehicles operating in warmer climates. It is designed to eliminate common problems with the original valve.

The most common failure of the original solenoid valve is a split diaphragm, which prevents the valve from opening fully or at all. This does not always cause the engine warning light to come on, as boost pressure can still force the valve open. Another problem is the very thin plastic diaphragm retaining ring, which becomes brittle due to temperature cycles and eventually fails. As a result, the diaphragm no longer seals correctly; in extreme cases, the plastic parts can break apart when the valve is removed and enter the turbocharger.

Forge Motorsport offers a piston design without a diaphragm, made entirely from aluminium. The valve replaces the original part with a piston valve that operates on boost pressure and vacuum while retaining the desired factory ECU-controlled opening operation. The spring can be changed according to the boost pressure used, while the included solenoid valve connects directly to the original wiring loom.
