We recommend servicing the valve every 3 years or every 20,000 miles, whichever comes first.
This atmospheric diverter valve is made from machined aluminium. When the throttle is lifted, it releases charge air into the atmosphere and creates the characteristic “whoosh” sound most commonly associated with racing cars. The design enables a faster throttle response and greater clamping force, allowing the valve to retain boost pressure more reliably. Available only in a polished finish.
All Forge Motorsport atmospheric twin-piston valves are designed and manufactured to release 100% of the remaining charge air in the forced-induction system into the atmosphere when the throttle is lifted. Although the twin-piston valve design includes numerous features for improved compatibility with vehicles equipped with a mass airflow sensor (MAF), compatibility with every individual vehicle when venting air to the atmosphere cannot be guaranteed.
The kit includes:
- 1 × FMDVECL101 valve
- 1 × uprated blue spring
- 1 × uprated red spring
- 1 × 28 mm blanking plug
- 1 × 40 mm hose clamp
- 1 × Forge sticker
Suitable for: Mitsubishi Eclipse I (D2).
