We recommend servicing the valve every 3 years or every 20,000 miles – whichever comes first.
An atmospheric diverter valve (blow-off valve) made from machined aluminium, it releases charge air into the atmosphere when the throttle is lifted and creates the distinctive “whoosh” sound often associated with rally cars. The valve helps provide a faster throttle response and delivers greater clamping force for more reliable boost pressure retention.
The valve is available only in a polished finish. Dual-piston atmospheric valves and valve installation kits.
All Forge Motorsport dual-piston atmospheric valves are designed to release 100% of the remaining charge air in the forced-induction system into the atmosphere when the throttle is lifted. The design of the dual-piston valves incorporates various solutions for improved compatibility with vehicles equipped with a mass airflow (MAF) sensor, but compatibility with every individual vehicle cannot always be guaranteed when charge air is vented to the atmosphere.
The kit includes:
- 1 × FMDVECL201 valve
- 1 × reinforced blue spring
- 1 × reinforced red spring
- 2 × 40 mm hose clamps
- 1 × Forge sticker
Suitable for: Mitsubishi Eclipse II (D3/A).
