Aluminium, flange-mounted atmospheric dump valve for Subaru Impreza V5. The valve is made from aluminium and releases charge air into the atmosphere when the throttle valve lifts, creating the characteristic “whoosh” sound often associated with racing cars. The design helps provide a quicker throttle response and greater clamping force for more reliable maintenance of boost pressure.

All Forge Motorsport twin-piston atmospheric valves are designed to vent 100% of the remaining charge air in the forced-induction system into the atmosphere when the throttle valve lifts. The valves incorporate several design solutions for improved compatibility with vehicles fitted with a mass airflow meter (MAF), but compatibility with every individual application cannot be guaranteed.

Important: On vehicles whose standard or modified engine management system cannot compensate for the loss of measured air, using an atmospheric valve may cause unwanted effects. Check compatibility with your engine management system before installation.
