This is a fully replacement atmospheric blow-off valve that creates a characteristic sound when releasing air. It connects to the original electronics without interfering with their operation, so it does not negatively affect performance or cause fault codes or the engine warning light.
The valve enables faster release of unused air, helping to improve throttle response. Due to its low installation height, it can be fitted in the limited space between the turbocharger and the air filter intake pipe.
The valve uses a piston design without a diaphragm that could fail. It is made entirely from aluminium and operates as a pressure- or vacuum-controlled piston valve. The engine control unit’s original control over valve activation is also retained. The spring can be changed for different boost pressure levels, and the included solenoid connects directly to the wiring harness.
This product is not compatible with non-hybrid K14C engine variants, for which model FMDV21 is intended.
