This uprated intercooler is designed for BMW 135i and 335i models with the N54 twin-turbo or N55 single-turbo engine, as well as the BMW 1M with the N54 inline 6-cylinder engine. The focus during development was on maximum efficiency while retaining simple installation. Tests showed an improvement in cooling of up to 30 °C, while installation can be completed at home in less than an hour.
After extensive testing of various intercooler cores, the bar-and-plate core design proved to be the most effective option for these models. By increasing the overall size, we improved cooling and reduced pressure loss compared with the factory intercooler.
The intercooler uses CNC-machined bayonet connectors for simple plug-and-play installation. Clear installation instructions and all the required parts are included.
