This upgraded intercooler is designed for BMW vehicles with the N55 3.0 single-turbo engine and the N54 twin-turbo engine. Installation is very easy and takes less than 45 minutes. No bumper removal or bodywork cutting is required.
Testing showed a 25 °C temperature reduction and a power increase thanks to the larger intercooler. The intercooler can therefore also be installed at home, without extensive modifications to the vehicle.
After extensive testing of different intercooler cores, the bar-and-plate design was selected. Together with its increased dimensions, it provides significantly better cooling compared with the factory intercooler.
CNC-machined bayonet connectors are used for easy plug and play installation. The kit also includes clear installation instructions.
Comparative dynamometer measurements before and after installation show an increase in power and a significant reduction in intake air temperature.
