Upgraded front-mount intercooler for bus and commercial versions of the VW T5. Despite its significantly larger dimensions, it is a direct replacement for the original intercooler, requiring no additional hoses or pipework modifications.
The larger frontal surface improves charge-air cooling and restores performance. Compared with the original intercooler, the unit has lower restriction without causing turbocharger response lag. On the manufacturer’s vehicle, the intercooler alone produced 10 hp and 20 ft/lbs of torque.
This upgrade is particularly suitable for vehicles fitted with a tuning box or updated engine management software.

Fits engines AXB, AXD, AXE, AXC, BRR, BRS, BNZ, BPC, BLU, CAAA, CAAB, CAAC, CAAD, CAAE, CCHA and CCHB. It also fits VW T5.1 vehicles from model year 2010 with a 2.0 TDI single-turbo engine producing 140 hp, 114 hp, 102 hp and 84 hp.
