This intercooler is specially designed for VW T5 and T6 vehicles with a BiTDi diesel engine featuring twin turbochargers. In the T6 model, the product is compatible only with the CFCA engine.
With its larger core and improved thermal efficiency, it provides better charge-air cooling. Compared with the original intercooler, this can mean more power and a longer service life for engine components, as the thermal load is reduced.
On the test vehicle, the intercooler reduced intake air temperature by an additional 10 °C compared with the original intercooler. The lower restriction also resulted in a smaller pressure drop.
The product is particularly suitable for vehicles with an engine upgraded with performance software or an additional tuning module. Depending on driving style, it can also help reduce fuel consumption.
Note: The oil cooler shown in the product photos, which can further reduce temperatures, is not included and must be purchased separately.
