Forge Motorsport recirculating valve for Acura/Honda 1.5T, 2.0T and 3.0T V6

The Forge Motorsport recirculating valve is a direct replacement for the factory diaphragm valve. According to the supplier, it is intended for the 2015 Honda Civic Type R. The hand-polished valve bolts directly onto the turbocharger in place of the original valve.

The valve features a robust piston design, with adjustment possible using interchangeable springs. On engines with higher boost pressure following software optimisation, it helps prevent boost pressure loss through the valve.

The kit includes

• 1 × FMDV5R valve
• 1 × reinforced yellow spring
• 3 × M6 × 12 hex-head bolts
• 1 × Forge sticker

The valve is assembled with a green spring and also includes an additional reinforced yellow spring. A spring adjustment kit is available for further adjustment of its operation according to the engine’s requirements.

Spring operation

The valve uses an internal spring to ensure sealing and maintain boost pressure when required. If the spring is too weak, power is lost. When increasing boost pressure through software adjustment, you must select a spring suitable for the new pressure level.

Forge Motorsport also offers the FMIPCV for this valve, which automatically adapts the valve’s operation to a standard or heavily modified engine without changing springs, adjusting regulators or carrying out additional tuning.
