The Forge Motorsport turbo blanket is designed to insulate the radiant heat generated by the turbocharger. It has been developed for vehicles with an EA888 TSI engine, helping to protect engine components and extend their service life.

The unique design helps reduce turbo lag and lower intake air temperature. The material will lose some flexibility during the first few heat cycles as it hardens, so do not remove the blanket after installation, as it may be damaged.
Exhaust heat remains contained on the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cold side and intake path. This can allow more oxygen per unit of displacement to reach the engine, which may contribute to increased performance.
The turbo blanket is also compatible with the following turbochargers:

- T5
- T25
- Garrett GTX28 and GTX30
- Borg Warner EFR6258
Temperature limits
Inner surface:
- Maximum rated temperature: 2300 °F/1260 °C
- Continuous-use limit: 1832 °F/1000 °C
Outer surface:
- Direct-contact limit: 1800 °F/982 °C
- Radiant heat limit: 2500 °F/1371 °C
