Forge Motorsport turbocharger actuator for Hyundai Veloster I 1.6 T-GDI

Serviceable turbocharger actuator for the Hyundai Veloster and Kia Cee’d GT with the 1.6 Turbo engine. The unit can be adjusted to suit different boost pressure requirements.

Forge Motorsport has developed a replacement two-piece actuator made from billet aluminium. This version is intended for vehicles with a vehicle- and turbocharger-specific actuator design.

The stated spring pressure values are minimum regulated values. The actuator is supplied as standard with a spring suitable for factory-level boost pressure or slightly above it. For modified vehicles and higher boost pressure, a stronger spring can be fitted on request.

Fitting the Forge Motorsport actuator enables more precise adjustment and control of boost pressure, which can improve response and control. The product is designed to increase the output boost pressure of the turbocharger system, but final compatibility depends on the engine management parameters.

The standard version uses an internal diaphragm-sealed design, while a piston-sealed version is also available. The piston version provides comparable performance and requires less maintenance thanks to its more durable internal design.

All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.

The actuator is supplied with a standard spring. If you wish to use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, select the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 option.

For the T2 spring range (FMAS049), the stated spring pressure and colour markings refer only to the mechanical aspect. This is particularly important for older turbocharged engines that are not controlled via an ECU or solenoid.

On modern engines with electronic control via an ECU or solenoid, the target boost pressure is not necessarily the same as the mechanical spring specification. When selecting a spring for a specific model and planned modification stage, consultation with a qualified tuner is recommended.
