Replacement turbocharger actuator for the Mazda 2.3L engine used in the Mazdaspeed 3, Mazdaspeed 6 and CX-7 models. The actuator’s operation can be adapted to your requirements by selecting different springs. The kit also includes a mounting bracket.
The actuator is supplied as standard with a predetermined spring suitable for factory boost pressure or slightly higher pressure. An assembly with a stiffer spring is also available. The product is designed to increase the output boost pressure of the turbocharging system, but the setting must comply with the limitations of the engine management system, whether factory-fitted or aftermarket.
When selecting a spring, the capabilities of the engine and associated systems must be taken into account. Higher boost pressure can increase loads, so the correct spring and setting should be checked by a suitably qualified tuner.
The actuator is supplied as standard with internal components featuring diaphragm sealing. Internal components with piston sealing are also available, providing comparable operation and less maintenance due to the durability of the piston valve components.

The actuator is supplied as standard with a green-marked spring. To use the FMPACTUN spring kit, the Diaphragm Type 2, 049 version must be selected.
All actuator rods are manufactured from 303-grade stainless steel.
The stated spring pressure for each colour marking refers only to the mechanical aspect and applies to older turbocharged engines where pressure is not regulated via the ECU or solenoid valve.
On modern engines with regulation via the ECU or solenoid valve, the target boost pressure is not necessarily the same as the stated mechanical spring specification. The correct use of the spring must be determined according to the vehicle model and the planned level of modification.
For the T2 spring range, the designation is FMAS049.
