Boost pressure adjustment

The Forge turbocharger actuator allows precise adjustment and management of boost pressure for the individual vehicle, which can improve response and control. The product is supplied as standard with a preset spring suitable for standard boost pressure or slightly higher values. For vehicles with engine modifications, a stiffer spring can be used on request when higher boost pressure is required.

The diaphragm-sealed interior is the standard configuration for this actuator, while a piston interior is also available. The piston configuration provides comparable operation and less maintenance thanks to the durable construction of the piston valve components.

A standard spring is fitted as standard. To use the FMPACTUN spring adjustment kit, Type 2, 049 diaphragm configuration must be selected.

All actuator rods are made from 303-grade stainless steel.

Important spring information

The stated spring pressure for each colour marking refers only to the mechanical aspect and applies primarily to older turbocharged engines where boost pressure is not regulated by the ECU or a solenoid valve.

With modern engines regulated via the ECU or a solenoid valve, the target boost pressure does not need to match the spring’s mechanical specification. If you are unsure about the correct spring choice for your model and planned level of modification, consult a qualified tuner.
