Before purchasing, compare the dimensions of your spring with the dimensions shown.
If the valve is leaking more than necessary or boost pressure is being lost, a stronger spring is usually required. If the valve does not open or release pressure, a weaker spring may need to be fitted. Fitting a stronger spring to the valve will not increase boost pressure unless it was being lost beforehand. A spring that is too strong and prevents the valve from operating correctly can damage the turbocharger.
Red-marked springs must not be fitted to DVR or DV007 diaphragm valves.
Spring colour coding:
- Green: 5–15 PSI (0.35–1.03 bar)
- Yellow: 15–23 PSI (1.03–1.59 bar)
- Blue: 23–30 PSI (1.59–2.07 bar)
- Red: 30+ PSI (2.07 bar+)

Important: choosing the wrong spring for the requirements of a particular engine can cause serious or fatal damage to the engine and related components. Before fitting, check that the kit is suitable for your valve.
