Forge Motorsport turbocharger wastegate actuator for the Ford Focus RS Mk3.

The actuator is manufactured using in-house CNC machines. The housing and grade 303 stainless steel rod with adjusters ensure precise fitment, serviceability and upgrade potential compared with the original part.

The actuator is assembled with a pre-determined spring suitable for factory boost pressure or slightly higher levels. A version with a stronger spring is also available. It is designed to increase the boost pressure control capability of the turbocharger system, but the actual adjustment is limited by the capabilities of the engine management system, whether factory-fitted or aftermarket.

Important information

• Spring pressure values are the minimum regulated values.
• The standard version uses sealed internal components with a diaphragm.
• A version with piston-sealed internal components is also available. This offers comparable performance and reduced maintenance requirements due to the durability of the piston internals.
• All actuator rods are made from grade 303 stainless steel.

The stated spring pressure for the individual colour markings refers only to the mechanical part of the system and applies primarily to older turbochargers that are not controlled by the ECU or a solenoid valve.

On modern engines with control via the ECU and solenoid valve, the target boost pressure does not need to be equated with the mechanical spring value. When selecting a spring for this model and the planned stage of modification, follow the recommendations of a suitably qualified tuner.

For the T2 spring range, the designation FMAS049 applies.
