The GFB DV+ features a brass piston and is self-regulating thanks to its intelligent design. As the upper surface exposed to boost pressure is larger than the lower surface, the force from above is also greater, keeping the piston closed under load.
Many other manufacturers require different spring sets depending on boost pressure – this is not necessary with the GFB DV+. Spring stiffness can be adjusted very easily to suit the desired opening time using adjustment screws of different lengths. This allows the valve’s opening time during load changes to be set for improved response without causing surging.
This valve is suitable for vehicles originally equipped with a Bosch valve. It recirculates excess boost air back into the intake system (diverter system).
