HF-Series 4″ air intake system for Mercedes-AMG A45 W176, CLA45 C117, GLA45 X156

This 4-inch intake upgrade kit is the ideal optimisation of the air filter system for the A45 AMG, CLA45 AMG and GLA45 AMG, designed for maximum performance while also providing an unmistakable intake sound. It has also been tested on engines with increased power and is highly recommended for such applications.

As shown in the product images, the standard air filter assembly is reduced to an internal diameter of 65 mm by the plastic adaptor plate. Even with standard software, this causes a drop in performance at higher engine speeds. With this intake upgrade, the internal diameter is increased to 98 mm, corresponding to an external diameter of 102 mm or 4 inches. In combination with the Pipercross air filter, air flow is increased by 52.43%.

The higher maximum power is not achieved only at higher engine speeds; more power is available across the entire rev range. This also results in a significantly improved response at all engine speeds, as clearly demonstrated by the power graph.

Oxygen is required for fuel combustion. The more oxygen enters the engine, the more fuel can be injected, which in turn results in a noticeable increase in power.
