This upgraded intercooler for the BMW 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series, F20/F30, is a highlight of the HF-Series range. The high-quality HFT core provides excellent cooling performance, delivering strong performance even under difficult conditions while remaining highly robust. It offers high resistance to heat build-up and does not heat up as much as comparable cores from other manufacturers.
The entire system has also been designed for optimum airflow. This means minimal pressure loss, while the complete charge-air path was developed using CAD flow analyses. This also includes the end tanks, which are made from high-strength cast aluminium.
Product benefits:
- significantly cooler charge air, improving engine combustion;
- quicker throttle response;
- improved airflow.
This product is therefore suitable both for standard-power vehicles and motorsport applications, as significantly higher power outputs are possible. Each intercooler was built for the respective vehicle, calculated using flow simulations and tested on a dynamometer.
Plug & Play
This intercooler is fitted to the vehicle’s original mounting points, so no modifications are required.

What exactly does an upgraded intercooler provide?
To express the exact power increase provided by an intercooler in figures, many unknown factors must be considered, such as factory power variation, further hardware modifications and the software used during measurement. This varies from vehicle to vehicle. As a rule of thumb for tuned engines, an increase of up to 5–10 % may be expected.
What is at least as important is that, particularly at high outside temperatures, you prevent a loss of power or the activation of the temperature protection stored in many engine control units. This allows you to rely on the engine’s full performance, regardless of whether it has already been software-tuned or remains standard.
Recommendation
Use our HF-Series intercoolers in combination with hardware and software optimisation. Reducing back pressure, which relieves the turbocharger, and cooling the charge air, which increases the oxygen content in the combustion chamber and reduces thermal load, creates a performance upgrade that efficiently uses the potential of every turbocharged engine.
Road use: A parts certificate for registration or individual approval under §19.3 is included with the product.
