HF-Series universal intercooler – tuning at the highest level

Our HF-Series universal intercoolers are entirely hand-built and feature flow-optimised cast end tanks developed using CAD. Combined with high-performance HFT cores, they provide maximum efficiency for both standard vehicles and motorsport applications.

What exactly does an upgraded intercooler provide?

To express the exact power increase provided by an intercooler in figures, many unknown factors must be taken into account, such as factory power variation, further hardware modifications and the software used during measurement. These factors differ from vehicle to vehicle. As a rule of thumb, engines with increased performance can achieve up to 5–10% more power.

At least equally important is the following: whether the engine has already been optimised or is to remain standard in terms of software, the intercooler helps prevent power loss at high ambient temperatures, or even the activation of the temperature protection stored in many engine control units. This allows you to rely on the engine delivering its full performance.

This product is therefore suitable for both standard-power applications and motorsport, as considerably higher power outputs are also possible. Each intercooler was built for the respective vehicle, calculated using flow simulations and tested on a dynamometer.

The intercooler is fitted to the original mounting points of the original OEM intercooler, so no major modification work is required. Installation can be carried out by the customer using a well-equipped tool kit.

When carrying out hardware or software tuning on a vehicle, the factor of boost pressure loss must not be overlooked. If the vehicle’s power is increased through chip tuning, boost pressure is also increased in 99% of cases. Using the standard intercooler causes boost pressure loss to rise exponentially. This means the turbocharger has to work even harder, increasing its thermal load and reducing its service life; high engine speeds also accelerate wear.
