HF-Series universal intercooler – tuning at the highest level

Our HF-Series universal intercoolers are manufactured entirely by hand and feature flow-optimised cast end tanks developed using CAD. Combined with high-performance HFT cores, they provide maximum efficiency, whether used on road cars or in motorsport.

What does an upgraded intercooler actually do for you?

Accurately expressing the power increase provided by an intercooler in figures requires many unknown factors to be taken into account, such as factory power variation, other hardware changes and the software used during testing. This differs from vehicle to vehicle. As a rule of thumb, tuned engines can achieve up to 5–10% more power.

At least equally important is the fact that, whether the engine has already been optimised or is to remain standard from a software perspective, the intercooler helps prevent power loss at high outside temperatures and even prevents the activation of the thermal protection programmed into many engine control units. This means you can always rely on the full performance of your engine.

Each intercooler is built for the relevant vehicle, calculated using flow simulations and tested on the manufacturer’s own dynamometer. The intercooler mounts to the original mounting points of the original OEM intercooler, so no major modifications are required. Installation can be carried out by the customer using a well-equipped toolbox.

This intercooler is generally supplied with a black coating.

When tuning a vehicle’s hardware or software, the factor of boost pressure loss must not be overlooked. If the vehicle’s power is increased through chip tuning, boost pressure is also increased in 99% of cases. Using the standard intercooler causes boost pressure loss to rise exponentially. This means the turbocharger has to work harder, increasing its thermal load and reducing its service life; higher rotational speeds also accelerate wear.

HF-Series universal intercoolers are always manufactured by hand and feature CAD-developed cast end tanks produced with optimised airflow. This intercooler is manufactured with a Bar & Plate core for maximum internal volume and cooling performance.
