HF-Series universal intercooler – tuning at the highest level
Our HF-Series universal intercoolers are manufactured entirely by hand and feature flow-optimised cast end tanks developed using CAD processes. Combined with high-performance HFT cores, they provide maximum efficiency, whether used in standard vehicles or motorsport applications.
What does an upgraded intercooler do for you?
Accurately expressing an intercooler’s power increase in figures requires many unknown factors to be taken into account, such as factory power variation, further hardware modifications and the software used during measurement. This differs from vehicle to vehicle. As a general guide for tuned engines, an increase of up to 5–10% can be expected.
Just as important is the fact that, whether the engine has already been tuned or remains standard in terms of software, you can prevent a loss of power at high outside temperatures – or even the activation of the temperature protection stored in many ECUs. This means you can always rely on the engine delivering its full performance.
Advantages at a glance:
- Significantly cooler charge air for improved combustion and power delivery
- Noticeably faster turbocharger response
- Reduced boost pressure loss for a longer turbocharger service life
- Optimal flow thanks to precise flow simulations
- Designed to fit many vehicles, with easy installation without modifications
This makes the product interesting for both standard-power vehicles and motorsport, as substantially higher power outputs are also possible. Each intercooler was built for the relevant vehicle, calculated using flow simulations and tested on a dynamometer. It is fitted to the original mounting points of the original OEM intercooler, so no major modifications are required. Installation can be carried out by customers with a well-equipped tool kit.
Technical data:
- Overall width including connections: 690 mm
- Core width: 540 mm
- Core height: 180 mm
- Core depth: 65 mm
- Connection diameter: 60 mm
- Net intercooler weight: 4.2 kg
When carrying out hardware or software tuning on your vehicle, the factor of “boost pressure loss” must not be overlooked. If the vehicle’s power is increased through chip tuning, boost pressure is also increased in 99% of cases. Using the standard intercooler causes boost pressure loss to rise exponentially. This means the turbocharger has to work harder, increasing its thermal load and reducing its service life; high engine speeds also lead to faster wear.
Our HF-Series intercoolers create the perfect balance between cooling performance and boost pressure loss.
Suitable for: universal use (not vehicle-specific).
