This third-generation intake system from the HF-Series is the result of many years of experience and continuous development. The entire intake is made from carbon, providing very high tensile strength and rigidity. It is four times more load-resistant than aluminium, has low vibration levels and is gas- and pressure-tight – ideal for supplying fresh air.
The system has been specially designed for Pipercross performance air filters. The new feature is that the air filter sits transversely to the direction of airflow, ensuring that the maximum possible air mass can be drawn in.
Development was carried out entirely in-house. Using sophisticated 3D scans and flow simulations, we have created optimum capability and performance combined with an unmistakable intake sound.
The HFI Carbon Air Intake Kit is suitable for the 1.8–2.0 TSI engine with Euro 6 emissions classification. It is suitable for both standard vehicles and vehicles with increased engine performance. This intake kit replaces the complete OEM air filter housing, including the OEM intake funnel and intake pipe.
To achieve maximum performance, we recommend combining the air intake with the HF-Series turbo inlet and our additional air guide plate. This additional equipment is also available as a combination with the intake system.
For all vehicles equipped with an IS38 turbocharger, such as the Golf 7r, TCR, GTI Clubsport, Audi S3 8V and Leon Cupra 5F, valve T9359 must be used so that the system can be fitted without any additional modifications.
