HFI Gen.2 Plus air intake system for VAG 2.0 T(F)SI EA113 (Golf 5/6, S3 8P)

This intake kit replaces the complete engine cover, including the air filter and intake funnel. When removing the original parts, you will immediately notice that the factory intake funnel is quite restrictive.

The improved airbox of the HFI Gen.2 »Plus« system is made from carbon fibre and features a special DRY Pipercross performance air filter developed specifically for this system. The filter is not oiled, so it does not damage the mass air flow sensor.

Compared with the regular HFI Gen.2 air intake, this »Plus« version can provide power gains of up to 8 PS and torque gains of up to 15 Nm on engines that have already been performance-tuned, without further software optimisation. (Depending on the software optimisation.) For performance-tuned vehicles, we also recommend using an additional heat shield for the exhaust manifold. (Available as an optional extra.)

An HF-Series Generation 2 intake pipe connects the airbox to the turbocharger. It optimises the intake air routing, enhances the sound of the turbocharger and improves the appearance of the engine bay.
