HG Motorsport catalyst replacement pipe – Lambda Eliminator/Spacer M18x1.5 with metal catalyst

Suitable for vehicles with a catalytic converter monitoring function. VAG 2.0 TFSI models, for example, use a lambda sensor to monitor catalytic converter operation. If the catalyst’s cleaning function is no longer sufficient, the engine warning light comes on in the instrument cluster. This can occur with catalysts that have insufficient coating or have been in service for a very long time.

This product will generally resolve the issue. The thread diameter of lambda sensors is standardised throughout the EU at M18x1.5, with a 24 mm spanner size. It is made from stainless steel and has a length of 64.7 mm.

Please note that it is not possible to provide a 100% guarantee that the catalytic converter monitoring system in your vehicle will no longer report a fault after installation.

Installation

1. Unscrew the lambda sensor.
2. Fit the intermediate piece, or Lambda Eliminator/Spacer, with its integrated catalyst.
3. Screw the original lambda sensor back into the spacer.
