Why Pipercross?

A Pipercross filter has no oil-bonded residue and returns to 100% of its original performance after quick and easy cleaning.

Road use: The kit is supplied with a technical report for individual approval. The combination with the Milltek ECE exhaust system “MSTY112-113” (E24*59R02/01/B*0015*00) has been tested and may be fitted with, or instead of, the standard exhaust system. Compatibility with other additional components has not been tested and must be confirmed with a vehicle approval specialist before installation.

Oil-free Pipercross air filters

Pipercross air filters are dry and must not be oiled. This prevents oil vapour from contaminating or damaging the vehicle’s mass airflow sensor. A contaminated or faulty mass airflow sensor would return incorrect readings, resulting in a noticeable loss of engine performance.

Increased airflow

Compared with standard paper air filters, Pipercross air filters provide 30–40% increased airflow. This is particularly beneficial in high-performance vehicles, where the engine needs to be supplied with sufficient oxygen.

Maintenance

Pipercross filters are made from a special multi-layer filter foam with different pore sizes, from coarse to fine. This three-layer foam is very easy to clean. The air filter no longer needs to be disposed of, reducing waste and making it a more sustainable solution. Pipercross filters contain no oil residue and return to 100% of their original performance after cleaning.

Cleaning

One of the key benefits of Pipercross air filters is that, at the same level of contamination, they continue to provide increased airflow compared with a cotton or paper filter. Dirt is retained by the unique foam surface, allowing fresh intake air to continue flowing through the filter.

We recommend cleaning the filter after no more than 15,000–20,000 km or once a year. The best time to clean the air filter is around the end of May or in June, after the pollen season, as this is when the filter is usually under the greatest load.

Note: Never use aggressive cleaners such as cleaning petrol, degreasing petrol, brake cleaner or similar products, as these may damage the filter material.
