HG Motorsport silicone hose kit for diverter valve VAG 2.0 TFSI K04 (S3 8P, Golf 5/6 GTI)

A diverter valve kit is essentially a system for redirecting back pressure, preventing the boost pressure from being slowed when the throttle closes.

The advantage of our system is that back pressure is redirected directly in front of the throttle. As the valve in our system is positioned after the intercooler, only cool air is recirculated. On many engines, the factory diverter valve is positioned before the intercooler, meaning that only hot, uncooled air is recirculated.

This conversion kit can also improve the appearance of the engine bay. On Golf 5 GTI Edition 30 and Pirelli models, the valve can be relocated to a cooler area of the engine bay using the kit. This reduces the risk of heat-related damage and also returns cooler air to the intake system.

The cooler the air, the greater its density. Higher density improves cylinder filling, which in turn results in increased power.
