Optimised brake disc technology

To significantly increase thermal stability and resistance to heat fade, the brake discs have been enlarged to 370 x 35 mm in diameter and thickness. In addition, sophisticated cross-drilling is used: each pre-cast hole is drilled and countersunk afterwards to optimise the flow of cooling air and minimise stresses in the material. The specially developed DDE ventilation system increases the effective cooling surface by up to 80% compared with conventional brake discs. The result is significantly reduced temperatures, lower wear and maximum resistance to brake fade, even under sustained heavy loads.

The forged MOVIT six-piston brake callipers are made from high-strength 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium, providing maximum stability with low weight. The progressive piston arrangement ensures even pressure distribution and an extremely precise braking feel.
