Plug for EGR delete – Ford Focus, Mondeo, Galaxy, Volvo is a kit for removing/disabling the EGR, used for blanking off the original OE EGR valve. The kit includes blanking plate and gaskets for a proper seal.

What is EGR and why is it deleted

The EGR valve returns part of the exhaust gas to the intake system to reduce emissions. On diesel engines, soot and oil vapour often clog and coat the EGR and intake tract, which can affect intake flow, performance and increase smoke.

Important

• After mechanically blanking it, you normally also need an EGR software delete, otherwise a warning or fault may appear on the dashboard.
• An EGR delete can affect the vehicle’s compliance with emissions regulations – for use on public roads, check your local regulations.
