Racingline air suspension lowering links for Audi A6/A7 C7, A8 D4, Q7 4L

Racingline adjustable lowering links (VWR436000) allow precise adjustment of the vehicle height with the original air suspension. You can lower the Audi by up to 50 mm or 2″ at each corner, front and rear, while retaining the comfort and functionality of the factory air suspension.

How the lowering links work

Air suspension uses height sensors at each corner of the vehicle. The sensors are connected to the suspension arms by short plastic links and tell the control units how high the vehicle is. Racingline adjustable links replace the original plastic parts and allow precise adjustment of the sensor signal.

The result is a lower, more stable stance with a lower centre of gravity, a sportier appearance and a stronger presence on the road, while the original air suspension continues to operate as intended.

How it works

Changing the effective length of the link between the suspension arm and the height sensor changes the angle detected by the sensor. The control unit then adjusts the air springs to maintain the height it considers correct, but this height is lower than standard due to the adjustment.

As no other suspension components are changed, the factory comfort, damper operation and automatic height adjustment are retained. The precise lowering height may vary slightly between different MMI modes, such as Comfort, Auto and Dynamic, which is normal and expected.

Compatibility

The kit is intended for vehicles with original factory air suspension. It does not work on vehicles with conventional suspension with coil springs.
