Racingline billet oil feed tubes are a direct replacement for the factory plastic oil transfer tubes in DQ381 and DQ500 DSG gearboxes, used in numerous Volkswagen Group vehicles. The original plastic tubes are a known weak point: due to heat cycles, age and increased loads in tuned engines, they can become brittle, crack or break completely – often during routine mechatronics servicing or clutch replacement.
The tubes deliver gearbox oil to key gearbox components, including the clutches and mechatronics. If a plastic tube fails, oil pressure drops, which can cause poor gear changes, clutch slip and, in the worst case, damage to the gearbox internals. Replacing them with the billet version eliminates this risk.
