Racingline boost pipe kit for MQB Evo EA888 Gen.4 (Continental turbo) – VWR140013

The Racingline VWR140013 boost pipe kit is a direct replacement for the factory charge system pipes on 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 “evo” engines equipped with a Continental turbocharger. It replaces the restrictive, damage-prone factory plastic pipes with smooth, mandrel-bent aluminium pipes and a reinforced silicone hose at the turbocharger outlet.

Smoother airflow reduces turbulence and load in the charge system. The upgraded pipes are more resistant to deformation at increased boost pressure, while the kit can improve throttle response and turbocharger response.

Kit contents

The three-piece kit replaces the pipes between the turbocharger, intercooler and throttle body:

• mandrel-bent aluminium boost pipe from the turbocharger to the intercooler,
• mandrel-bent aluminium boost pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body,
• multi-layer, wire-reinforced silicone turbocharger outlet hose.

Construction and design

Both rigid pipes are made from one-piece 6000-series aluminium. They have an outer diameter of 60 mm and a thin wall for the best possible internal airflow. The surface is hand-polished, black anodised and laser-marked with Racingline logos.

The silicone hose at the turbocharger outlet is multi-layered and manufactured with internal wire reinforcement, making it more resistant to heat and deformation under boost pressure. The beaded connections on the rigid pipes help prevent the hoses from slipping at increased pressure.

The mounting brackets are TIG-welded for precise fitment. The kit includes a Mikalor stainless steel clamp, OEM-style rubber mounting hardware and new bolts.

Compatibility

The kit is intended for MQB Evo vehicles with a 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 or “evo4” engine and a Continental turbocharger. EA888 Gen.4 engines can also be equipped with an IHIS turbocharger, but this kit is not suitable for it.

Important: Check the turbocharger version before purchase. The VWR140013 kit is intended exclusively for the Continental version.

Installation

Installation is a direct replacement for the original pipes, with no cutting or drilling required, making the modification reversible. The pipes are compatible with the factory rubber connecting hoses. For a complete charge system upgrade, they can be combined with the Racingline Gen.4 Boost Hose Kit VWR140006.
