Racingline RP700 high-performance front brake pads – 340 x 30 mm
During intense driving on fast roads or a race track, brake fade can occur – an unpleasant moment when the pedal becomes soft and braking power drops. Racingline RP700 Performance brake pads are designed for precisely these loads. They are a direct replacement for the original front pads in the standard braking system with 340 x 30 mm discs, but with a higher-performance friction compound for handling high temperatures.
How do the RP700 pads differ?
Racingline developed the RP700 compound for more than a year and tested it on the road and race track. The result is a medium-hard pad with an aramid fibre compound – a durable and temperature-resistant material also used in racing brake pads. The aim was to achieve a balance between strong initial bite with cold brakes and fade resistance at high temperatures.
In practice, the pads perform well during everyday driving while also handling repeated heavy braking on fast roads or during race-track driving without losing their effectiveness.
Key benefits
- Almost zero brake fade during prolonged exposure to high temperatures
- No warm-up required – strong initial bite even during everyday driving
- Progressive and predictable pedal feel for confident braking
- Direct replacement for the original pads when using standard brake calipers and discs
- ECE R90 approval for use on public roads
ECE R90 approval
ECE R90 is a European standard confirming that a brake pad achieves a comparable level of performance to the original pad fitted to the vehicle. In most countries, this standard is required by law, but many replacement pads do not have it. The RP700 pads have full ECE R90 approval and are therefore suitable for road use.
Compatibility
The front pads are intended for vehicles with larger 340 x 30 mm front brake discs. They are used on performance models from the VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda groups. Before installation, check that your vehicle is equipped with this braking system.
Who are they for?
RP700 pads are suitable for drivers who want a noticeable improvement over standard pads but do not need a fully racing compound. They are suitable for:
- fast road driving,
- occasional track days,
- performance cars for everyday use that must remain road-friendly in traffic.
Important: New brake pads must be bedded in correctly before intensive use. Follow the recommended Racingline bedding-in procedure so that the friction compound is transferred evenly to the brake disc surface. Skipping this step can result in uneven braking and a shorter pad service life.
For a balanced upgrade of both axles, use the appropriate Racingline rear brake pads for vented or solid rear brake discs.
