A direct plug-and-play upgrade for a wide range of VW Group petrol engines. Racingline ignition coils provide a stronger and more consistent spark than standard original coils. They are suitable for both standard vehicles and modified vehicles with higher boost pressure, helping to ensure reliable engine ignition from idle to the redline.
Why upgrade the ignition coils?
Ignition coils deliver high-voltage electrical energy to the spark plugs, where the fuel and air mixture is ignited in the engine. Original coils can weaken over time, causing misfires, rough running and loss of power. Modified engines with higher boost pressure or more aggressive ECU settings demand more from the ignition system than the factory coils were designed to provide.
Racingline coils provide 10% more output energy compared with original (OE) units. This is a carefully considered level of upgrade: the spark is noticeably stronger, combustion is improved, and the internal coil temperature does not increase to a level that could negatively affect reliability.

Installation
Installation is straightforward. The coils are direct replacements for the original units: disconnect the electrical connector, remove the original coil and install the Racingline coil in its place. No engine electronics tuning, remapping or additional hardware is required.
