The original intercooler in the Polo GTI AW and Audi A1 40 TFSI struggles to keep up when the 2.0 TSI engine is placed under greater load. During prolonged full-load operation, intake air temperature rises quickly, causing the engine control unit to reduce ignition advance for protection, while power starts to drop just when you need it most. The intercooler cools compressed air from the turbocharger before it enters the engine. Cooler air is denser and therefore contains more oxygen, enabling more efficient combustion and more reliable power. What makes this intercooler different
