Racingline sealing washers for magnetic sump plugs (set of 5)
Each time the sump plug is removed and refitted during an oil change, the sealing washer between the plug and the oil sump deforms slightly, creating a tight seal without oil leaks. Once used, it must not be reused. The Racingline set of 5 provides a supply of original replacement washers, always ready for the next service.
The washers are precisely matched to Racingline magnetic sump plugs and provide the correct compression depth and sealing pressure when tightened to the specified torque. Fitting a new washer at every oil change is a small but important step in preventing slow oil leaks and the resulting drop in oil pressure.
Why fit a new sealing washer?
- Reliable sealing: A new washer compresses correctly and prevents oil weeping or dripping around the sump plug.
- Sump protection: Reusing a flattened washer can lead to overtightening and damage the thread in the oil sump.
- Hassle-free maintenance: A new washer is a simple and affordable way to reduce the risk of oil loss and engine damage.
Compatibility
The washers are intended for use with Racingline magnetic sump plugs VWR180000 and VWR180006 on vehicles with a conventional metal sump. They are not suitable for plastic or composite sumps, which use a different sealing method.
Racingline sump plugs and sealing washers can be used on selected petrol and diesel engines from VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda. Before installation, check that your vehicle is fitted with the correct Racingline magnetic sump plug and a metal sump.
