The Racingline sports damper kit is a direct upgrade for the standard dampers on MQB-platform vehicles with a 55-millimetre front strut and multi-link rear suspension. The kit includes two front and two rear dampers, improving handling, body control and vehicle stability without unnecessarily sacrificing comfort during everyday driving.
The dampers were developed using Racingline’s motorsport experience and eliminate the usual compromise between firm sports suspension and everyday usability. They can be used with the standard vehicle ride height or combined with lowering springs. Sports springs are not included in the kit.
Damper features
- Tri-Valve technology: three internal valves adjust the damping response to different driving conditions. The result is better control when driving quickly through corners, while still providing enough compliance for bumps and damaged tarmac.
- Twin-tube design: the damper uses low-pressure nitrogen to prevent the oil from foaming as it heats up. This reduces the loss of damper performance during demanding or prolonged driving.
- Precisely tuned damping characteristics: optimised for use in combination with Racingline Performance sports springs. The springs are not included in this kit.
- High-quality damper oil: withstands heat better than standard and many other aftermarket oils, helping to extend service life and maintain consistent performance.
Effect on driving
Compared with standard dampers, body roll in corners is reduced, the vehicle is more composed at motorway speeds and the tyres maintain better contact with the road even on uneven surfaces. The vehicle is more confidence-inspiring during more dynamic driving, while remaining comfortable on poor tarmac and longer journeys. This is a balanced upgrade, not a firm setup intended exclusively for the race track.
Compatibility
The kit is intended for MQB-platform vehicles with a 55-millimetre front strut and multi-link rear suspension. It is not suitable for the Audi S3 or vehicles with electronically adjustable Magnetic Ride or DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) dampers.
Suitable for: Audi A3 III (8V), SEAT Leon III (5F) / III (5F1), Škoda Octavia III (5E3) / III (5E5/5E6), VW Golf VII (5G1).
