After two or three hard accelerations the stock intercooler heat-soaks, the ECU detects excessive intake air temperature and pulls ignition timing. The power stays on paper. This intercooler with a 640×410×65 mm core prevents that: more surface area, more air through the core, stable temperatures even after a remap.
