The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In certain cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This 4-point mid lower brace is designed to provide additional support for the chassis in the centre section of the underbody.
