The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times greater force than the other. This can result in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing centre lower brace helps further connect the mounting points on the lower part of the chassis, thereby increasing the stiffness of this area.
