The vehicle body is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes twisting and deformation of the body, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The chassis brace helps limit such body deformation.
