The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during fast driving. High loads occur mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause considerable bending and twisting of the chassis or body, which consequently results in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. Ultra Racing braces help reduce these effects by providing additional support to the body.
