The car’s suspension is subjected to significant loads during fast driving, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.
When cornering quickly, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting of the suspension during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front anti-roll bar helps limit body roll and reduce the effect of weight transfer during dynamic driving.
