The vehicle chassis is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater chassis flex and body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front anti-roll bar with a diameter of 27 mm helps limit body roll during dynamic driving.
